After a few months, I'm returning to my IGS art editor (https://breakintochat.com/atari/igs.js/) to work on a new little animation. As part of that, I realized I need to add support for circles. But the circle-drawing algorithm used by IGS (and thus likely the ST's VDI itself) is not Bresenham. It's probably midpoint or some variation of it. Curiously it appears that circles with a radius above 9px in IGS are often NOT symmetrical. Sigh.#atari #atarist #retrocomputing #graphics #textmode
