Mistigram: in the first decade of this new century, Cute Overload and I Can Has Cheezburger? testified to the self-evident truth that the Internet was, on a fundamental level, for sharing funny cat-related content, and all other applications for it were kind of secondary. From this milieu emerged @textfiles 's cat Sockington, who over the course of a decade accumulated over a million Twitter followers. Though Socks died in 2022, a good cat is never forgotten, so when Cthulu was coming up with the short list of celebrated cats to enshrine in #ANSIart for last month's #cat-themed MIST0725 artpack collection, this hep cat invariably stalked its way to the top of the pile.
